Were staying at the Doubletree on Collins for the first part, then driving to Key west, then coming back up to Miami and staying at Don Schulas Golf Resort.

We have reservations at Emerils and Don Schulas Steakhouse, and Tickets to the Marlins/Mets game on the 30th. Any more fun Ideas in the area. How is the Metrozoo?

We have our florida vacation home, which we use for a few months every winter, the rest of the year it sits empty. So the toilets dry up after a few months, then bugs, rats, and other creatures get into the house through it.

Sea Lions - Newport Oregon - YouTube Travel

Any time you will see visitors come out on the pier to take a look at the wild local sea lions. There's something special in seeing wildlife in their own environment free to come and go. As for contributing to the local economy, we have come twice to see the animals along with the beautiful harbor at Newport. BTW you can go crabbing right of the pier but watch the sea lions cause they try to steal the bait and catch.

Question by lrich1002: Where can I take my mom and her dog on a weekend vacation in Florida?
My mom has an 80lbs American Bull Dog he's about 9mths old and is house trained. I would like to take her on a mini-vacation within the state of Florida. Maybe a beach villa for a couple of days on the west coast, Naples, or Fort Myers. Does anyone know any places that allow dogs?

Question by explorer: Should i cancel my plans to vacation in Florida because of oil problems on beachs?
i am making plans in the next 6 months to vacation in Florida mainly sunbathing,swimming. Should i wait to see if the oil from the rig explosion makes it to Florida beaches or not?

the west coast for sure will be oily
the east coast will be oil in a few days, and stay that way for years
