We stayed at the Blue Dolphin on Sanibel Island the last week of January 2011. The location of the Blue Dolphin makes it a beach and sheller paradise. The Blue Dolphin sits on a "No Outlet, Local traffic only zone" Essentially there is no car traffic can beach traffic in this area. You pretty much have the beach all to yourself.
